Francis Eugene (Gene) Upton

Francis Eugene (Gene) Upton of Hawkeye, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, in Waterloo.

Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at West Clermont Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour before the service. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Volga.

He is survived by his three daughters, Stacy (Mike) Kuker,  Sumner; Linette Upton, Hawkeye, and Crystal Steffen, Hawkeye; eleven grandchildren and two great grandsons. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Bill (Helen) Upton,  Luana; Nadine West, Elgin; Ronald (Linda) Upton, Postville;  Mike (Linda) Upton, West Union; Leslie (Clarice) Upton, Plainview, MN;  Karen (Doug) Guyer, Clermont; Kenneth (Barb) Upton, Postville,  and Connie (Randy) Lauer, West Union and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

H e was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy; his parents, Charles and Marjorie Upton, and his sister, June.
