Olive Wolfe, 94, of Maynard, Iowa died on Tuesday morning, June 3, 2014 at the Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, Iowa of natural causes.
Funeral Services: 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard, Iowa;
Officiating: Pastor Cindy S. Krause from Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton, Iowa;
Visitation: from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Maynard, Iowa and after 12 Noon at the church on Saturday;
Interment: Long Grove Cemetery at Maynard, Iowa.
A Memorial fund has been established in her name.

Olivebelle LaVon Ahrens was born on February 9, 1920 at Walcott, Iowa, the daughter of George and Lydia (Rush) Ahrens. Olive married Raymond Frederick Wolfe on July 5, 1940 at Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein, Iowa. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard.
Olive was head cook at the West Central School in Maynard for 32 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, sewing, gardening, fishing and family gatherings at their trailer in Guttenberg. She liked doing all kinds of crafts. Her favorite was making clowns and selling them. Perhaps you have one. Olive always enjoyed spending time with her family. In later years her great-grandchildren brought her a lot of joy.
She is survived by five children: Bob (Mary) Wolfe of Maynard, Marlene Heller of Oelwein, Linda Wolfe of Maynard, Duane Wolfe of Davenport and Bonnie (Mick) Gage of New Hampton. Her five grandchildren are Brian (Janet) Gage of New Hampton, Heidi (Travis) Tafolla of North Liberty, Chad (Vicky) Heller of North Augusta, South Carolina, Dr. Matthew (Michel) Gage of Forest, Virginia and Lori Dikes of Davenport. There are 9 great-grandchildren: Mitchell and Carver Gage, Anna, Max, Grace, and Isabella Tafolla, Tanner and Tyson Gage and Nichole Cesar, and 3 great-great grandchildren: Kaden, Laden and Max Cesar.
Other survivors include her brothers: Bud Ahrens of Davenport and Don Ahrens of Independence; four sister-in-laws: Ione Ahrens of Florida, Frieda Ahrens of Newton, Wally Wolfe of Oelwein and Alice Wolfe of Northfield, Minnesota, a brother-in-law: Max Wolfe of McIntosh, Minnesota and a very good friend, Lucy Patridge of Maynard. There are many nieces and nephews,
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Ray Wolfe on May 2, 2010), brothers (Al and Burdell), sisters (Dorothy Neece and Glendora Russell), son-in-law (Carl Heller), daughter-in-law (Ruth Wolfe), two brother-in-laws (Lee Wolfe and Edgar Wolfe) and a sister-in-law (Mildred Schmitt and her husband Buster). 24u24
